OUTSTANDING PAPER AWARDS
Each year at its annual meeting, LERA selects two outstanding papers:
Outstanding Paper Awards
Each year, two awards are given as part of the Annual Conference: an Outstanding Research Paper Award and an Outstanding Graduate Student Research Paper Award.
Selection is based on the quality of the written paper and the criteria for judging will be made available upon notification of acceptance of the proposal. The recipient(s) of the Outstanding Research Paper Award will have the paper published in Current Issues in Educational Research (CIER), and is invited to present the paper at the next year’s Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA). The recipient(s) also receives reimbursement up to a maximum of $500 to support travel to this meeting.
Any paper whose principal author is a current graduate student will be eligible for the Outstanding Graduate Student Paper Award. Recipient(s) of this award will be invited to submit their paper for publication in the CIER. To be considered for either award, the completed paper must be submitted as an e-mail attachment to the awards chairperson, Dr. Randy Parker at doctorp@latech.edu on or before February 18, 2010. Announcements of awards are made at the Friday session of the Annual LERA meeting.
All papers accepted for inclusion on the program are eligible for consideration. For additional information contact Randy Parker
